First year as a design assistant, is 5.5k normal or should I negotiate?
Hello there, I just finished my first year as a design assistant at a small studio, handling admin, material boards and site visit support, currently on 5.5k. It's a good company, I'm happy and learning a lot but not sure if my pay is standard for entry level or if I should be asking for more at the next review. What did others start on?

Entry level rates vary a lot by studio size but 5-6k is a common starting range for design assistants in Dubai.

5.5k for year 1 is pretty standard from what I've seen, I started around there too. But then, keep in mind there is no "standard". Salaries vary A LOT.
