14k after 8 years as a Senior Interior Designer working mainly on villa and residential fit-out projects. Is that where I should be?
Hello everyone,
I'm so glad I found this forum, glad I can post my question anonymously. So, I'm currently at a mid-size studio based in Business Bay, mostly Luxury villa and apartment interior projects from concept to execution. Been offered 14k at my current review after 8 years in the field. Feels low compared to what I see floating around in different job vacancies, but I'm not really sure. Anyone at a similar level able to share where they land?

I was at 12k with 8 years exp so if anything you're probably okay but keep your eyes open for opportunities. Worth shopping around before your next review.

14k after 8 years is honestly fair, but it really depends on your level of responsibilities and skills.

Depends heavily on the studio size tbh. Small studios like OP's tend to cap lower regardless of experience because the overheads are different from bigger firms.
